i wouldn't bash the freezer 35 line too much, this was still a pretty good cooler at 20€. this was substantially cheaper than the freezer 34 lineup at 30-40€. at this price point the competition was something like the endorfy spartan 5 max and lc-power lc-cc-120, so that the was actually pretty competetive. right now the freezer 36 is offered at 20€, which is an insanely good deal and even beats thermalright's highly aggressive pricing. however, arctic has announced that this is their 23 year birthday rebate and they won't offer the freezer 36 at these prices forever. the normal listing price would be 43€, which would be on par with the phantom spirit and more expensive than the xilence m705d or the peerless assassin.

I ordered the *HyperFlow 360* (in black) just prior to viewing this^^ video last week and, _with your warning about the cold plate protector _*_firmly_*_ in mind,_ I very carefully removed the bag covering the pump housing when the AIO arrived earlier today. It did *no* good: even though I snapped the plastic cover on _through_ the bag (before GENTLY sliding the bag off), it STILL came loose and smeared thermal compound all over the place. I do this with GPUs that run hot or when fans fail and noise but with some heatsinks you just can't do it.

any idea if the DeepCool AK400 would be enough? i got one after looking at the TDPs, but i've now been told that TDP comparison isn't the best way to tell if it will be enough

i did the same in my rtx 2080s but with 90mm fans also artic and its been loud and not perform very well ,but when i flip fans to the exhaust they much more quieter and temps drop is noticeable

I ran my rtx 3070 with pair of arctic p12 max in nr200p. Deshrouding is really popular in sff community.

It’s not just noise level, there is also a noise profile. Something people usually overlook, a lower frequency noise is much easier on the ear. Also those p12max move so much air, if you can’t expel them from the case fast enough it circulate and make everything hotter than it should. Airflow management in the case is much more important if you are looking to cool it a few degree more, but deshroud mods usually pair with a quiet fan for running at max rpm with no noise like noctua fan.

I know for enthusiastic PC 4c (56c-54c) is a lot difference but for me $80 more for another (3) Hyte Fan + $299 for the THICC cooler and only 4c difference not worth it.

In my next build I'll install car radiator from a scrap yard. I'm looking for an old 100 pound cast iron steam radiator for the build after that. Or I can just use an AMD CPU and leave Intel to their fiery hell.

Thanks for the testing. Your Noise-to-Performance graphs are great. Would love to see the top 10 AIO's on your 250W chart tested on AMD with a 7950X (or 9950X next month). If HC's and GN's testing is anything to go by the rankings could change quite a lot compared to intel. That would be a heck of a lot of work to get the data though...
